Project Time Management

This 2- day workshop introduces the student to the basic concepts of project time management principles, policies, and responsibilities based on PMBOK 4th edition. It provides guidance on carrying out the vital responsibilities of a Project Manager in managing schedules and handling the challenges and problems that arise during the life of a project. Lecture and discussion are reinforced with team and individual exercises.

Prerequisite: Should at least have a basic Project Management concepts.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand concepts of project time management based on PMBOK. 
  • Develop the ability to identify, define and sequence activities.
  • Learn how to develop an accurate project schedule, accounting for all project activities, resources needed to complete project activities, and availability of the resources.
  • Develop the confidence to evaluate and communicate project trade-offs clearly to project sponsors. 
  • Develop the ability to forecast whether a project can be delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications.
  • Develop and understand the project scope.
  • Communicate schedule needs and status to the project team nd senior management.
  • Monitor completion criteria and acceptance.
